Wyre Forest RR 2/3/4

Race report - Wyre Forest RR 2/3/4 A smaller field than my last rr and a slower tempo of around 22mph. Extremely well organised event so thanks to them! I had tough few laps of the 49 mile route where I got dropped twice and thought about pulling out. With the gap widening i decided to burn all my bridges and put a huge effort in for 5 mins to get back in the group. The pace ramped up through the last lap and i saw a gap emerge on the right as we aproached 1km to go. I followed 2 riders who flew past the bunch and managed to hold my sprint up the hill to the finish line. Considering I nearly didn't turn up this morning as i felt completely pooped I'm amazed to say I finished 7th and 1st in my category. Got a lovely trophy and flowers! Thanks to Jack McGarry and Mike Cripps for the pep talks this morning to get me to the start line.
